About the organisation
OUR ORGANISATION
Inner West Neighbour Aid is an incorporated not for profit organisation and is primarily funded under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme which provides entry-level home support for older people needing assistance to live independently at home and in their community. We support seniors to stay mentally and physically active and thrive socially through exercise programs, therapeutic workshops, outings and new experiences, online grocery shopping, a centre based program and intergenerational connections. We also support seniors who want to stay living in their homes safely and independently with garden and lawn maintenance, assistance with pets.
Every day at Inner West Neighbour Aid, we witness seniors defying the misconception that ageing marks the end of growth. It is never too late to reinvent oneself, embrace change, and contribute meaningfully to the world. In our community, we demonstrate that ageing is a time of possibility, not limitation. Self-discovery, achievement and connection continues throughout life, no matter the age.
